SYSTEM ERRORS

This section provides guidance on how to resolve issues in the unlikely event that you receive a system error message

Restore Defaults - Invoice Page Setup Errors

Issue:

If there is a problem with your printer setup, you may get an Invoice Page Setup Error message. This can occur after you’ve clicked Restore Defaults in the Invoice sheet

Action:

1.   Check the default printer, makes sure it’s available online and working correctly

2.   If it is, open another existing Excel file, change the page margins and then print the page

If step 2 above fails, you have a system issue printing in Excel which you’ll need to resolve. If you are able to successfully carry out step 2 above but remain unable to run the Restore Defaults program in the T1 model, then go to the below System Checks and follow the instructions

PDF File Won’t Generate

Issue:

This issue can occur after you’ve clicked Generate Invoice in the Invoice sheet. If this happens, it could be because the default File Open properties for PDF files on your PC are not setup correctly

Action:

1.   Locate another .pdf file on your PC using File Explorer

2.   Right click on the filename and click Properties

3.   In the General tab, check that the type of file is shown correctly and that Opens with has a suitable application assigned (i.e. Microsft Edge, Adobe Acrobat)

4.   Double click on the PDF file name in File Explorer and make sure that the PDF file launches the assigned application and opens correctly

If step 4 above works correctly but you remain unable to run Generate Invoice, go to the below System Checks section and follow the instructions

System Checks

Carry out the following checks if you have a System Error / System Checks message:

1.    Close Excel, re-open your T1 model in a new Excel window and re-run the program that failed

If you are still getting the error:

2.    Shut down and power off your PC, restart it, re-open your T1 model and re-run the program that failed

If you are still getting the error:

3.    Ensure that your hardware meets the minimum requirements specified by Microsoft for the version of MS Office that you are running (See https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/microsoft-365-and-office-resources)

If after carrying out the above checks, you continue to get the error:
